I ended up owning this Moke because one of our customers could not afford repairs to the engine.
I took the roof off because I like the wind in my hair, but other real modifications I have made include:
- Tailgate
- Custom dash
- Custom seats
- Twin tanks
- Disc brakes
- Adjustable suspension
- Hi lows
- Custom bumpers
- Custom led lights
- 100w headlamps
- Turbo engine with 5 speed box
- Custom hard top
- New one off wiring loom.
- Bonnet lock
- Spaxs dampers
- etc (in fact, a whole swag full of etc's)
My trips in the moke have just been local stuff no big trips yet.
The closest I have come to a mishap was going to fast around a roundabout and ending up on two wheels for about 10-15 seconds down the road before landing back on all 4 and carried on driving like nothing had happened (My passenger said I was nutty and has never been in a moke with me again).
The longest trip I ever had in my Moke would have to be when we went to the moke muster in Shepperton in 2006.
I have never ever been embarrassed in my Moke and will drive it anywhere.
I will never get rid of my Moke is because it's simply just too much fun. They are just the best car thingy made (mini 2nd) |
