I bought my first car at 17 for $800. A 1969 chocolate brown Moke with a yellow fastback top. I polished it every day until I was 18. It was my pride and joy - so many great memories.

Now I am 43 going bald and getting fat. Earlier this year I found the "Purple Passion Mobile" Moke on Ebay. Call it a mid life crisis, I just had to have it.

We all went down to Geelong to pick it up from Bruce, the fellow who had restored it. I think he did a great job and the kids all love it.

Shelley my wife thinks I'm a bit crazy but is very understanding.

Since we got it, I have had the seats re-covered and new ones made for the back. It also has inertia belts in the back. I have also fitted gauges. It is soon to have a new roof.
